Positivity of COVID-19

The novel coronavirus has the world scatterbrained trying to have a nuance of elucidation towards a pandemic never experienced before in modern times. Every news article, post, and pundit is explicitly talking ad nauseam about how horrible this virus is, which has forced people to withdraw money from the stock market and buy masses amounts of TP. I felt the need to take a more optimistic and positive approach to this conundrum and allow people to possibly find tranquility in a time perceived as "dire". The amount of information being proliferated out into our brains is unprecedented and I am sure we are all scientists at this point(haha). My full intentions with this article are to show quite possibly why God would even allow a time like this, and how the cohesion of our communities and country could be revitalized. This virus as a whole is very low on threat scale and it will take some discipline and time off to eradicate it in its entirety. The need for a vaccine will be the complete "eradication" I refer to as in immunity or herd immunity to cope with it just like the flu. People don't view the flu as an ailment that is incapable of being healed but as a virus that can be cured that many people get throughout their life. Michael Jordan played with the flu in Game 5 of the 1997 Finals against the Utah Jazz. Imagine if he had the coronavirus at that time, the NBA would shut down(oh wait they already did). When the world turns to molasses, this will allow us to think and to APPRECIATE our lives and how blessed we really do have it. My heart truly reaches out to the families and individuals who are hurting for money and or have loved ones who have died from this pandemic. I can't fathom the pain and suffering that reveals itself in a time like this, and I truly pray that God reveals Himself to those in need. I have pondered on the great fact of why God allows tough times to take place and how suffering produces thankfulness and love towards one another. We can already see rates in countries such as China and South Korea trending downward which shows that the virus isn't here to stay for all eternity. Companies who are usually proclaimed as being thieves and corrupted companies are giving in a time of need and even using their facilities as production lines for supplies against the virus. We can do this!
I implore you to think deeply about this problem and how positivity can really surface during a plight such as COVID-19. First off, humans make mistakes and I am fully aware China made two of them: eating animals that are notorious for carrying zoonotic viruses and also lying about how and when it was all started. I forgive these people for their malpractices of eating and I try to truly understand the situation as it pertains to the whole world. We ALL make mistakes that have caused other people and ourselves turmoil that we thought at the time had no upside to it. COVID-19 not only allows families to rekindle their fire as a unit but allows work and other endeavors to slow down and rebuild itself into something greater than before. The worst economic downfall in history happened in the late '20s and ended in late 1941. I am forever appreciative of the integrity and grit the people in the '40s had to go from one disaster(Great Depression) to another(WW2) which lead to our regaining of prosperity. If life were to be of complete goodness and fun then we would never learn how to cope with anything worthwhile. Pain allows us to be thankful when times are smooth and to learn from past mistakes because inevitably we will make errors. Quarantine should be synonymous with rest and recharge. I truly cannot imagine how elated we will be to go out and simply take a stroll in the park, go to a movie, get a bite to eat or even go to massive social gatherings again. Complacency resides in the beholder time and time again when something good has yet to be taken away from them. It gives us worth and thankfulness when the bumpy road turns into the yellow brick road. The point being, we have worth when it takes audacity and grit to overcome a problem. As a unit(country) we can fight this together and become one nation under God once again. I truly believe as divisive as our country has become, maybe COVID-19 will revitalize our country and UNITE US once again!
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
